I’m really tired of getting viral infested emails in my business email inbox. This is the latest of many:

We conduct regular wiretapping on our networks, to monitor criminal acts.

We are aware of your illegal activities on the internet wich were originating from

You can check the report of your activities in the past 6 month that we have attached. We strongly advise you to stop your activities regarding the illegal downloading of copyrighted material of your internet access will be suspended.

This email came with an attachment: user-EA49943X-activities.zip and it was sent via this email address: cyrusl@jakkspacificltd.com.hk

I could tell pretty quickly that this email was a hoax, firstly I wasn’t addressed by my name but by the word “client”, the email wasn’t sent to my family email address connected to our ISP account, it didn’t have our customer account number on it either.

If you receive this email, DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT, DELETE IT!
