People are asking if it’s necessary to have a business website today. Since we already have Google+, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Plaxo and all the other gazillion social media platforms out there. Also, at least once a week, I get the “Someone advised me to have a Squeeze/Sales page instead of a full blown website” question. My answer to both questions are usually a resounding YES! WordPress powers 14.7% of the top million websites in the world, up from 8.5%, and the latest data show 22 out of every 100 new active domains in the US are running WordPress.
In the last year, I’ve had situations where service-based business owners have asked me to review their existing websites. Because they are disappointed that they weren’t getting the kind of results, that they had imagined they would get when they had their websites designed.
My favorite thing to do on the Internet is visit websites! I’m always excited about seeing other websites and I get inspired in the midst of all this as well.
